Facility and Safety Identification

Meeting new OSHA Safety Sign Standards

Posted by Don Bangert in Facility and Safety Identification

Now that the warm weather we have all been waiting for is finally here, our workplaces may appear a bit underpopulated as everyone takes their well-earned vacations. It's also the perfect time to revisit those facility safety and maintenance needs.

Lockout Tagout, proper identification of Arc Flash requirements and the marking of aisles and passageways for safely navigating the plant floor area with Brady’s Floor Marking Tapes are just a few of the topics that should be addressed at this time.

This is also a great time for facilities to update Safety Signage so as to be compliant with current and newly enacted OSHA and ANSI Standards and requirements. The Brady Safety, Facility and Equipment Identification Catalog lists hundreds of stock signs available in over thirty different materials and sizes. And as if that were not sufficient, we have regularly provided custom signage with whatever text, colors or symbols that our customers require.

Below is a link to a YouTube video explaining OSHA’s most recent change regarding safety signs to be more informative and in compliance with the ANSI Z535 format.
