A 2015 Honeywell Users Group Conference Roundup via Control Global

Posted by Bill Hirschinger in Industry News

This week, Honeywell Process Solutions (HPS) is hosting their annual Honeywell Users Group conference in San Antonio, TX, and Control Global has been providing  fairly exhaustive coverage of the event. This marks the fortieth year that Honeywell has hosted the symposium making it the oldest running event of its kind in the industrial automation industry.

You can read the website's recap of event's open day here. In his opening remarks, HPS president Vimal Kapur, outlined a similar set of challenges that have dominated industry news throughout the past year–a dwindling skilled labor force, aging worksites and a diminished interest from longterm investors. Kapur then outlined the technologies that his organization believes will remedy these current ills by discussing Honeywell's upcoming expansion to their distributed control system (DCS).
