What’s your favorite indoor/outdoor activity? Why?
I love being out on the water! I enjoy a good day out on the lake with friends and family, or doing a cannon ball into a pool.
Ten years ago, are you where you thought you would be now?
No, I was actually going to school to become a teacher. When the teaching program was cut, I had to switch my major quickly. I have a passion for working with people, so I decided HR would be the perfect fit for me. I love getting to know people!
What’s the best meal you’ve ever had?
The best meal that I’ve ever had was when we went on a cruise. There is no shortage of food on the ships. It’s all you can eat 24/7- and it’s all gourmet!
What are you currently watching on Netflix/Some other streaming service?
All things Disney! My husband and I are taking our boys to Disney World in the fall, so we have been introducing them to different movies and shows with the characters that we will get to meet. I love seeing my childhood memories through my kid’s eyes.
What is the first concert you attended?
This was tough... it was either Shania Twain or the Spice Girls!
What is your personal philosophy? How has this guided you?
Live life to its fullest. Life is too short to not enjoy it.
What is the one thing, you can’t live without? Why?
McDonald’s coke - there is something about their filtration system that makes their soda so good!
What is your favorite part of working at Standard Electric? Why?
Our culture. I’m grateful to work alongside so many great people. I love working for such a great company who truly values their associates.
What’s something most people don’t know about you?
I’m terrified to go swimming in the ocean – I’m scared of the sharks! They say you only live once, right?! This was my motto when I traveled to St. Thomas, and I braved my fear and went snorkeling. This was such an AMAZING experience and I’m so happy I did it! What’s more fun than swimming with a few string rays…
If you could meet anyone, living or dead, who would you meet? Why?
Patrick Swayze! Dirty Dancing is my all-time favorite classic movie. When Dirty Dancing came to the Cadillac Place in Chicago, I just had to see it. While Patrick Swayze wasn’t there to play Johnny, it was still worth seeing.
