Standard Electric is offering the Carlo Gavazzi RM1A Series Zero Switching Solid State Relays for today’s industrial complexes. The single-phase relay with antiparallel thyristor output is the most widely used SSR due to its multiple application possibilities. The relay can be used for resistive, inductive, and capacitive loads.
The zero-switching relay switches ON when the sinusoidal curve crosses zero and switches OFF automatically when the current crosses zero. The instant-on relay with DC control input can be used for phase control. The built-in varistor secures transient protection for the heavy industrial applications. These SSRs utilize Direct Copper Bonding (DCB) technology that reduces the number of internal components and solder joints, and feature self-lifting terminals, clip-on IP20 protection cover, and LED indicator. Protected output terminals can handle cables up to 16mm2 (6 AWG).

The slightly convex back plate on the RM1A Series SSRs assures ideal thermal contact to an external heat sink. They are packaged in a 58.2 by 44.8 by 28.8 millimeter chassis mount housing
