Meet… Bruce Thompson!

What's your favorite indoor/outdoor activity? Why?
I enjoy working out in the yard. Pulling weeds, planting flowers, and making things look nice. It is simply relaxing to me. I enjoy a nice bike ride or a walk with my wife. Still looking for new hobbies since we are empty nesters. Any suggestions?
Who inspires you? Why?
I draw my inspiration from many places, but I would say my parents were a big part of this. They instilled a good work ethic in me and a positive attitude. When I do bump up against an issue, I read the quote by Charles Swindoll, Attitude. Look it up online or ask to see my folder. A good attitude will go a long way.
What are you currently watching on Netflix/streaming service?
We really do not watch a lot of TV, I recently started watching Yellowstone. If I can find it on Saturday night, anything with a horse, Gun Smoke, or any John Wayne movie will work.
What's the most beautiful place you've seen/traveled to?
I have been to Puerto Rico and the Bahamas, along with several shorelines in the US, but give me a lawn chair and campfire overlooking any lake in Wisconsin and I will be just fine. (Maybe toss in a Bud)
What is your personal philosophy? How has this guided you?
Measure twice cut once. There are many variations of this, trust but verify, don’t be afraid to ask for help, etc.…. we need to rely on others to get the job done, but ultimately, you oversee our own destiny, take responsibility, and don’t pass the buck.
What is the one thing you can't live without?
Oreos, chocolate chip cookies, apple pie, M&M’s, do I really need to say why?
What's something most people don't know about you?
Many of you know this from my video (where’s the one from your department) I am a twin. Most people see twins as little kids, but never as adults. It’s fun when my brother and I are together in public, we have as much fun watching others notice us, as they do pointing us out.
If you won the lottery, what is the first thing you would do?
Get a new phone number.
If you have three wishes, what would you wish for?
A piece of apple pie, good health, and a winning lottery ticket.
