Meet… Jeff Frisk!
Jeff Frisk is the Product Training Coordinator with Standard Electric Supply Co. He works out of Standard Electric’s Rockford, IL location. Get to know Jeff!
What's your favorite indoor/outdoor activity? Why?
Those who know me know I’ve been playing in a band for many years, which is by far my favorite activity. It’s quite a rewarding experience to see so many people at a show having fun, laughing, and letting loose.
Who inspires you? Why?
My children, without a doubt. Since they’ve been born, they have inspired me to be better than I thought I could be. Whether it was/is as a teacher, a protector, a role model, or a mentor, they’ve always kept me striving to be better.
What are you currently watching on Netflix/streaming service?
Being a huge comic book fan, I’m always on the lookout for new Marvel movies or series. (No offense to the DC Comic fans)
What's the most beautiful place you've seen/traveled to?
Paradise Island in the Bahamas. Not only was it a warm and sunny escape from reality, but the people were also all so friendly.
What is your personal philosophy? How has this guided you?
Never stop learning. No matter how much you already know, there is always something new or fascinating to discover. Everyone has a story; all you must do is listen.
What is the one thing you can't live without?
Ranch Dressing. Forget all the hype surrounding ketchup; Ranch is the ultimate condiment.
What's something most people don't know about you?
I created my own theory for the creation vs. evolution debate to pass my college ethics class. Although it was a far stretch from the other two theories and was more like science fiction, no one was able to disprove it.
If you won the lottery, what is the first thing you would do?
Aside from assisting family, I would fulfill my dream of opening an interactive toy store. One where kid’s imaginations could come to life, and one where adults could relive and remember the joy of being a kid.
If you have three wishes, what would you wish for?
Since wishing for more wishes is expressly forbidden, I’d wish for a genie who couldn’t count. But seriously, I’d wish that everyone could be a little more understanding of the fact that everyone is unique. We must learn to respect and appreciate that uniqueness.
What is your favorite part of working at Standard Electric?
The best part about working at Standard Electric is by far the people I have the privilege to work with. Not only the associates who work at Standard Electric but the customers and suppliers I have had the opportunity to meet over the years.
