What's your favorite indoor/outdoor activity? Why?
I typically play first-person shooter video games, like Call of Duty, Battlefield, and things of that nature, and I really enjoy watching movies. The most recent one I saw was Bodies, Bodies, Bodies with my daughter, but anything made by A24 studios are my usual go-to. Outdoors, I really like swimming and diving whenever I get a chance to do so.
Who inspires you? Why?
My daughter: she is easily the closest person to me. She helps me out with a lot of decisions regarding lifestyle, dietary, etc. She has always been a huge part of my life, and I want to make sure I give her everything I didn’t have so that she can be successful.
What are you currently watching on Netflix/streaming service?
The Boys on Amazon is my current binge-watching obsession. I like Hughie on the show, because he uses his wits and helps everyone even though he doesn’t have any powers himself. On Netflix, the most recent thing I saw and really enjoyed was Love, Death, and Robots.
What's the most beautiful place you've seen/traveled?
Puerto Rico. We went in December when it was the perfect temperature: mid 70’s and no rain the entire time. We fed fish, took a ton of walks on the beach, and spent the rest of the time traveling to little stores and boutiques.
What is your personal philosophy? How has this guided you?
Treat others how you want to be treated. I always try to kill people with kindness. Taking the easy road by flying off the rails and harboring negative feelings is not my mentality; I strive to give people the benefit of the doubt and let things go when it isn’t that big of a deal.
What is the one thing you can't live without?
Air because I need it to breathe. Just kidding… it would probably be technology. I think that with how dependent I am with it at home and work, if I lost technology, I’d be completely lost.
What's something most people don't know about you?
I’m a great dancer. A while back, I was in a group with 4 other guys who could breakdance. We would often perform at various venues, and even had a sponsorship. Back then, my staple move was being able to spin on my head without using my hands. I’m confident I could still do a lot of moves today if I wanted to.
If you won the lottery, what is the first thing you would do?
Hide and get a lawyer. After that, I would make sure my family would be financially independent and ensure that they don’t go bankrupt no matter what. From there, I would probably buy a good-sized house on the Atlantic Coast of Florida and enjoy good weather year-round.
What is your favorite part of working at Standard Electric?
My favorite part of working at Standard Electric is the culture, leadership, and friendship of my peers. They help me be successful, and I enjoy helping them be successful likewise. I think that it’s awesome that we are so close-knit; it feels like I am seeing a family member every time I see someone around at the office.
