Appleton factory sealed PlexPower™ Series panelboards use circuit breaker modules that provide explosionproof protection for standard off-the-shelf breakers, eliminating the need for a heavy cast enclosure.

Traditional panelboard challenges include numerous bolts to be fastened and unfastened, a need to install seals, and expensive inventory, but the PlexPower™ panelboards feature a lighter weight material with modular design for complete flexibility. Additionally, they feature up to 85 percent operation cost savings and are easy to install and affordable to maintain year after year.

With PlexPower™ panelboards, each modular breaker housing is protected by its own integral flamepath, eliminating the need for specially designed hazardous location breakers or a heavy, precision-machined cast enclosure with bolted cover.

Additional features include:

  • Ability to add circuits and increase breaker capacity using affordable off-the-shelf breakers
  • No need to install additional seals such as barrier glands, Teck connectors, or conduit seals
  • Anti-loosening termination and efficient heat dissipation help ensure reliable breaker performance without derating
  • Replace breakers by opening individual housings with standard hand tools

The Appleton PlexPower™ panelboard provides indoor and outdoor protection and control of electrical circuits in hazardous environments such as petroleum plants, chemical plants, refineries, wastewater treatment plants, and more. They are ideal for placement in wet, corrosive environments or where flammable gases or vapors are likely to be present.
