We understand the concern and uncertainty you may be experiencing surrounding the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and we are committed to being responsive to the needs of our customers and associates as the situation evolves.
This past week, Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker issued a “stay at home” order requiring all non-essential businesses to suspend operations starting Saturday at 5 p.m. through April 7. That being said, and because of the products we supply to our life sustaining customers, Standard Electric has been classified as an essential business and, therefore, will remain open at all of our Illinois facilities in Chicago Ridge, Roselle, Rockford and Champaign during this time.
We will continue to perform all essential activities necessary to support your business. We will continue to provide updates on our supply chain and operations as we are informed. In the meantime, we would encourage you to keep our sales team informed of any upcoming strategic buys you foresee so we can take active measures to ensure we are ready to help. To support the global effort to contain the spread of COVID-19, many Standard Electric associates have been asked to work remotely, and we are restricting the travel of our outside sales and engineering teams. Although the sales team may not be on-site, they will continue to be accessible and prepared to support you.
