Get the Edge with Hubbell’s Twist-Lock® Edge Series

5/12/2021

ByJulia Jaskie

Studies have shown that the average time required for a professional installer to complete a screw termination is 1:08. Hubbell’s new Twist-Lock® Edge Series receptacles can take that time down to 0:11. That’s over 80%! How do they do it?

It’s easy as 1-2-3.

With the red plungers set in the up position, installers insert each wire into its adjacent compartment. As the wire enters the spring mechanism in the bottom of the compartment, press the red plunger back down to engage the spring for a secure, tight, permanent termination with no tools. It’s that simple!

Just think – if you’re doing dozens, or even hundreds, of installations, that’s a lot of time saved!

But there’s more to it than just time saved. Here’s how Twist-Lock® Edge Series gives you even more of an edge:

  • Edge on Speed: Technicians can decrease installation time by over 80%, and installation can be done completely by hand without a torque driver or wrench.
  • Edge on Durability: Regardless of vibration, temperature cycling or strand relaxation, your wires will stay tight for the long term.
  • Edge on Safety: There is no exposed metal on the receptacle, and there is a consistent reliable connection.
  • Edge on Reliability: The Twist-Lock® Edge Series is the same great quality that customers have come to expect from Hubbell.

The Twist-Lock® Edge Series receptacles will be available in 3, 4, and 5 wire versions, and the 5 wire version featuring a pre-installed ground wire. To learn more, download the spec sheet here.
