Hydraulic Magnetic Circuit Breaker

Hydraulic-magnetic circuit breakers trip on an electromagnetic coil damped by a fluid-filled tube, so the trip point stays where it was set whether the enclosure is near freezing or running well above ambient. Thermal breakers drift with the air around them; these do not. Machine builders fit them when a thermal breaker nuisance-trips in a hot cabinet, when equipment has to certify to one trip curve across climates, or when a DC supply needs protection that will not derate in summer.
