Bottle Fuse

Bottle fuses, also called Diazed fuses, screw into a threaded adapter and seat against a gauge ring that accepts only one rating, so a circuit cannot quietly be re-fused above its design current. Legacy panels still take them where European-built machinery went in decades ago, where a fuse link has finally opened after years in service, or where a rewire has to keep the original fuse base rather than replace the whole panel.
