Catalog Description: This product is part of the NEMA Limit Switches range. The foundry switch is used in foundries or mills where falling foundry sand or similar material could build up and jam the operating mechanism. The shaft has a dust boot and extends from the switch case, preventing sand build up around the shaft. The device can withstand hot falling sand up to 300° F (149° C). The limit switch is a device that converts a mechanical motion into an electrical control signal. The switch is DPST-NC-DB (double pole, single throw, double break) with Form YY, snap action contacts. It is furnished with screw clamp terminals for electrical connection and one 1/2in NPT cable entry. The spring return mechanism without operating lever supports lateral approach and switch actuation in CW and CCW position, from left or right.
