Catalog Description: This XS8 is a part of the OsiSense XS product range of inductive proximity sensors. Inductive proximity sensors enable the detection, without physical contact, of metal objects. Its range of applications is very extensive and includes monitoring the position of machine parts (cams, end stops, etc.) or counting the presence of metal objects. These sensors have high operating rates, fast response, and excellent resistance to industrial environments (robust products, fully encapsulated in resin). The range of this sensor is 0.31in (8mm) to 1.57in (40mm). The sensor accepts 12VDC to 48VDC power and provides a normally open and normally closed discrete PNP output along with supply on and output state LEDs. The sensor is a non flush mountable PBT sensor with a five position turret head and screw clamp terminals.
