For the last decade, Standard Electric Supply Co. has hosted Automation Express, a biennial trade show in Milwaukee. This July, Standard Electric will host their first-ever show in Indianapolis. The event will be held on July 19, 2018 at the Dallara IndyCar Factory.

Automation Express is an award-winning automation, safety, and plant maintenance trade show that highlights unique solutions for running a safer and more efficient business.

The show features over 30 exhibiting manufacturers with technologies and products that can help improve your processes. In addition to the exhibitor booths, Standard Electric will also host three morning and three afternoon technical sessions that feature a more in-depth look at solutions.

Morning Sessions
Industrial Cyber Security (9:00 am EST - 10:30 am EST)
A discussion on how to approach cuber security for industrial networks. The focus will be on sharing industry best practices, presenting the concept of Defense-in-depth techniques, and real-life case studies of successful implementations.
Machine Safety (9:30 am EST - 11:00 am EST)

Lockout for Life (10:00 am EST - 11:30 am EST)

This session is designed to actively engage attendees in need of training, while delivering best practices and standards from across various industries

Afternoon Sessions
Installation Considerations for a Reliable VFD and Motor Drive System (1:30 pm EST - 3:00 pm EST)
Reviewing proper cabling/wiring techniques for power, motor, control, and fieldbus connections. Proper system grounding will also be discussed to minimize high frequency bearing currents, communications issues with PLC's or fieldbus adapters, and nuisance faults such as ground and encoder faults.
